Indian Cricket Fan Proposes to Girlfriend During T20 Match in Australia

Melbourne, Jan 03 : An Indian fan proposed to his girlfriend at the Melbourne Cricket Ground in the middle of a Big Bash League (BBL) match, leaving her surprised and elated.
The proposal transpired when an interviewer was walking through the stands, speaking to fans mid-match. He stopped by a young couple sporting shirts of different teams. The interviewer asked the man whether supporting rival teams had caused any tension in his relationship. The man replied, “Yeah, I am a big Stars fan and she is a Renegades fan. But she loves (Glenn) Maxwell too and I am a Maxwell fan, so I just brought her here”.

Then, as his girlfriend watched in shock, the man turned to her on bended knee, pulled out a ring and said, “It is a big occasion so I just want to put a ring on her.” A loud cheer rose from the crowd and the interviewer joined in. The young woman, looking overwhelmed, said, “Yes” and he slipped the ring on her finger. The crowd cheered wildly for the couple. “Wow!” the interviewer exclaimed.
The video, which was shared by 7Cricket on their official X (previously known as Twitter) account, has gained over 1 lakh views and over a thousand likes.
