The minister said “In view of the severe heatwave, summer vacation for schools in the Kashmir division will be from July 1 to July 10.” She added that the government will review the weather conditions after the vacation and may decide to extend the break if the heatwave persists. “After July 10, we will review the weather conditions and take the call of extension of vacation accordingly,” she said.
The decision comes as a much-needed relief for students, teachers, and parents who have been dealing with discomfort due to the soaring summer heat. The Education Department has urged all schools to follow the revised timings strictly and to ensure the well-being of students during this period.
