Kathua admin discusses roll out of Ayushman Bhava Campaign

KATHUA, AUGUST 30: Deputy Commissioner Kathua, Rakesh Minhas today chaired a meeting here in the Conference Hall of DC Office Complex to discuss the modalities for the roll out of Ayushman Bhava campaign in the district .
The meeting was attended by Chief Education Officer, Chief Medical Officer, District social Welfare Officer and officers of other departments.
While briefing the meeting, the Chief Medical Officer said that Ayushman Bhava is a comprehensive health initiative with the goal to ensure effective implementation of all government run health schemes so that the same reach the intended recipient.
With focus on comprehensive coverage and inclusion, the programme is set to revolutionize healthcare access. He said that scheme include the activities like Ayushman Apke Dwar 3.0, Ayushman Sabha, Ayushman Mela , Screening of Children, all of which are meant to ensure comprehensive and saturation coverage of all health care schemes leaving out no eligible beneficiary.
By combining awareness campaigns, medical camps and inclusive strategies, the initiative seeks to bridge the gap and extend healthcare benefits to the last mile.
Under the Ayushman Bhava, 100% coverage of Ayusman Card distribution, ABHA ID generation, immunization and screening of non-communicable diseases (NCD) will be ensured. It was also disclosed in the meeting that Ayushman Melas will be organized at CHCs by Medical College to reach out to the people who are excluded from specialized Health services. At village level, Ayushman Sabhas will be organized which will actively work towards extending the benefits of central and state government health schemes to their intended recipients.
Deputy Commissioner Rakesh Minhas passed instruction to the concerned officers to ensure early saturations of Ayushman cards and ABHA ID generation in the district. He further asked the health officers to organize camps to aware the people regarding the various health schemes and programmes of state and Central Government.
