Srinagar, December 19, 2024 – In a heartwarming and inspiring event held at LD Hospital Srinagar, the initiative “Koor Che Noor” celebrated the birth of a baby girl, emphasizing the importance and value of daughters in society.
As part of this initiative, the parents of a newborn baby girl were presented with thoughtful gifts to underscore the message that every girl child is a blessing and deserves love, recognition, and equality.
Speaking at the event, representatives of the Kashmir Youth Federation and the Kashmir Road Safety Foundation highlighted the critical need to combat gender biases and promote a positive narrative around the birth of girl children.
Aadil Shah, President of Kashmir Youth Federation, expressed his thoughts at the event, saying: The birth of a girl child is a celebration of life, hope, and equality. Through ‘Koor Che Noor,’ we aim to challenge outdated mindsets and inspire a society that values and uplifts its daughters. Every girl is a beacon of light, and it’s our collective responsibility to ensure they shine bright.
“This initiative is a small yet meaningful step towards changing societal attitudes and fostering a culture where the birth of a girl child is celebrated with the same enthusiasm as that of a boy,” said Nasir Ali Khan, Chairman of the Kashmir Road Safety Foundation.
Koor Che Noor reflects the shared vision of these organizations to create a society that cherishes and nurtures its daughters, recognizing their immense potential and worth.
