Those behind attack will not be spared: DGP
SRINAGAR, OCT 30: Jammu and Kashmir Lieutenant Governor (LG) Manoj Sinha has expressed his deep condolences for the tragic loss of life resulting from a terrorist attack in Pulwama.
In a heartfelt message, L-G Manoj Sinha conveyed his sorrow and solidarity with the victims and their families affected by the cowardly act of ‘terror’ that unfolded in Pulwama.
A migrant labourer from Uttar Pradesh tragically succumbs to terrorist gunfire in Pulwama, Jammu and Kashmir’s Tumchi Nowpora area. The incident occurred on Monday, as reported by the local police.
The victim, identified as Mukesh, lost his life due to the injuries sustained during the attack.
In a strong statement, Manoj Sinha vowed that the recent killing of a non-local labourer in south Kashmir will not go unpunished.
Officials said that Mukesh Kumar, who had come to the region for work, became the target of a cowardly terrorist attack.
In his statement, the LG emphasized the unwavering commitment of the Jammu and Kashmir administration to eradicating the menace of terrorism that continues to receive encouragement and support from across the border. These acts of violence against non-local labourers pose a significant threat to the peace and security of the region.

He asserted the unwavering determination to bring those behind the attacks to justice, emphasizing the disruptive intentions of the neighbouring country in maintaining peace in Jammu and Kashmir.
It is to be mentioned here that an Inspector of the Jammu and Kashmir Police was critically injured after terrorists fired at him in the Eidgah area of Srinagar late Sunday afternoon following which a manhunt was underway to track the attackers.
