Srinagar, Oct 11: The Lieutenant Governor of Jammu and Kashmir Union Territory, Manoj Sinha, extended a gracious and heartfelt welcome to President Droupadi Murmu as she landed at Srinagar Airport today.

Their exchange of pleasantries and warm greetings also set a positive tone for the President’s two-day visit to Jammu and Kashmir.
President Droupadi Murmu’s presence in the region is expected to yield positive outcomes for the people of Jammu and Kashmir.
It is to be mentioned here that President Murmu is scheduled to interact with members of various tribal groups and women involved in self-help initiatives at Raj Bhavan. This engagement will foster a closer understanding of the challenges and triumphs of the people of Jammu and Kashmir.
A civic reception in her honor is also on the agenda, reflecting the warm and cordial reception that the President is receiving in the Union Territory. Tomorrow, on October 12, the President will make a special visit to the revered Shri Mata Vaishno Devi shrine. During this visit, she will inaugurate a remodelled Parvati Bhavan and a brand new skywalk, symbolizing the union of tradition and modernity in the region.
