Srinagar June 13: Senior BJP leader Manzoor Bhat visited the Bone and Joint Hospital today to assess the current situation. During the visit, Bhat observed that the absence of a Medical Superintendent is significantly impacting the hospital’s operations, with the CMO office currently managing the workload.
Bhat emphasized the critical need for a full-time Medical Superintendent to ensure the smooth and efficient functioning of the hospital. He noted that while Dr. Altaf Kawoosa is currently handling the additional charge, his primary responsibilities as Head of Orthopedics limit his capacity to effectively manage the Medical Superintendent’s duties.
“The hospital’s operations are being managed by the CMO office, which is not an ideal situation,” Bhat stated. “A dedicated Medical Superintendent is essential to provide the necessary leadership and oversight, ultimately benefiting patient care and overall hospital performance.”
Bhat has urged Secretary Health & Medical Education J&K, Dr. Syed Abid Rasheed Shah, to prioritize the appointment of a full-time Medical Superintendent at the Bone and Joint Hospital. He believes that this appointment is crucial to address the current challenges and ensure the hospital can continue to provide quality healthcare services to the community.
