Baramulla, June 19: As part of the ongoing Mera Desh Meri Pehchaan (MDMP) 2026 initiative, a grand cultural outreach programme was held on Friday at St. Joseph’s School, Baramulla, celebrating India’s rich cultural heritage and diversity.
The event was attended by senior Army officials, including GOC Dagger Division Major General Manoj Joshi, along with other Army officers, civil dignitaries, school representatives, and a large gathering of students.
The programme featured vibrant cultural galleries representing seven Indian states, along with exhibitions, student interaction sessions, audio-visual presentations, and captivating cultural performances. The activities were designed to promote the spirit of Unity in Diversity, national integration, and meaningful youth engagement.
Addressing the gathering, dignitaries emphasized the importance of fostering cultural understanding among the younger generation and strengthening the vision of Ek Bharat, Shreshtha Bharat. They highlighted that such initiatives play a vital role in promoting harmony, mutual respect, and national unity.
Students participated enthusiastically in various activities and interacted with representatives from different states, gaining valuable insights into India’s diverse traditions, art, cuisine, and heritage. The programme provided a unique platform for young minds to appreciate the country’s cultural richness while strengthening bonds across communities.
The MDMP 2026 celebrations will culminate with the grand finale scheduled for June 20 at Government Degree College (Boys), Baramulla, marking the conclusion of a vibrant and inspiring cultural initiative.
