With a staggering 1.7 million tulips unfurling their petals, including five new vibrant varieties, the garden is a breathtaking spectacle that is sure to leave locals and tourists alike spellbound.

As crowds thronged the garden on its opening day, excitement was palpable with people marvelling at the kaleidoscope of reds, yellows, pinks and more splashed across the verdant landscape. Officials are anticipating the tulips will reach full bloom in the coming days, putting on nature’s grandest spring display.

A couple from Pune, on their first trip to the Tulip Garden, praised the administration’s efforts, saying “We are having a smooth visit. The government has made excellent arrangements for visitors. Everyone should come here at least once.”
In preparation for the influx of tourists, a high-level meeting chaired by Divisional Commissioner Vijay Kumar Bidhuri was held to ensure all logistics like traffic management, parking, sanitation and online ticketing were in place to provide a hassle-free experience.
“This year, we’ve expanded by an additional 4 Kanals, with officials now deployed round the clock to address visitor grievances,” stated  Floriculture Department official.
With thousands already flocking on the opening day, tourist footfalls are expected to shatter last year’s record of 3.77 lakh visitors. As spring casts its colourful spell, Kashmir’s Tulip Garden is welcoming the world to experience its eternal enchantment.
