NIA ATTACHES HOUSE OF KEY ACCUSED IN THE MAHARASHTRA D-COMPANY CASE

New  Delhi, 17th July : The National Investigation Agency (NIA) has attached the residential property of one of the key accused in Thane district of Maharashtra in the 2022 D-company case.
The accused, Arif Abubakar Shaikh@Arif Bhaijaan, was earlier arrested in the case (RC-01/2022/NIA/MUM), registered by NIA on 3rd February, 2022. Arif’s house in the Gaurav Green Row House Co-Operative Housing Society Ltd., Cluster-II, Mangal Nagar, Mira Road East, Thane, has now been attached as ‘proceeds of terrorism’ under section 25 (1) of the Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act 1967.

The NIA has already filed a Chargesheet against three arrested accused (1) Arif Abubakar Shaikh @Arif Bhaijan (2) Shabbir Abubakar Shaikh @Shabbir Takla and Mohammad Salim Qureshi @Salim Fruit and two wanted persons namely (1) Dawood Ibrahim Kaskar @Shaikh Dawood Hassan (2) Shakeel Babu Mohiddin Shaikh @Chota Shakeel under the relevant sections of the UAPA and IPC in the case. Further investigations are continuing.
