August 2: In a meaningful effort to pay tribute to the legacy of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel, a debate competition was organised today by Srinagar police , North zone at Government Girls Higher Secondary School (GGHSS) Nowhatta . The event focused on the life, role, contribution and ideology of Sardar Patel—popularly known as the Iron Man of India.
A large number of students from the said Higher secondary school actively participated in the competition, expressing their views on Sardar V.B Patel’s contribution to India’s freedom struggle, his leadership qualities, and his efforts in unifying the nation post-independence.
During the event, Sp City north, Srinagar, Showkat Ahmad-JKPS addressed the gathering and praised the students for their insightful speeches. The programme was also attended by other officers of the north zone viz sdpo khanayar, sho Nowhatta
The initiative was part of the ongoing public outreach and awareness programmes undertaken by the District Police to engage youth in constructive activities while promoting patriotism and civic responsibility.
The programme concluded with the distribution of mementoes and cash prizes to the Participants getting Ist, 2nd ,3rd and 4th position.
