POONCH, AUGUST 14: In a move to preserve the rich historical heritage of Jammu and Kashmir, the Union Territory (UT) government has approved the restoration, preservation, and maintenance of the iconic Poonch Fort.
The decision was taken during a meeting chaired by the Chief Secretary, Atal Dulloo, where several projects aimed at reviving local heritage were discussed and approved.
The proposed restoration work will be carried out with a focus on maintaining the local ethos, culture, and aesthetic appeal, ensuring that the fort’s historical essence remains intact.
