Remembering Comrade Late Sampat Prakash Ji

A Tribute to a Legendary Champion of Workers’ Rights
On this solemn occasion, I pay my heartfelt tribute to Comrade Late Sampat Prakash Ji, one of the tallest trade union leaders our nation has produced and a fearless voice for workers across Jammu, Kashmir, and Ladakh.

Comrade Sampat Prakash Ji dedicated his entire life to the service of the working class. His unwavering courage, moral integrity, and lifelong commitment to justice transformed the labour movement and inspired generations to stand up against exploitation and inequality. He firmly believed that every worker deserved dignity, fair wages, social security, and respect, and he devoted his life to turning these ideals into reality.
He was much more than a trade union leader. He was a visionary, a mentor, and a compassionate human being who united people across divisions through the principles of democracy, equality, secularism, and social justice. Even in the most difficult circumstances, he remained steadfast in defending the rights of the voiceless with extraordinary courage and conviction.
His passing created an irreplaceable void, but his ideals continue to illuminate the path for all those committed to justice, peace, and the welfare of working people. The movement he strengthened and the countless lives he touched stand as a lasting testament to his remarkable legacy.
On his death anniversary, let us not merely remember him with words, but honour him through action—by renewing our commitment to workers’ rights, human dignity, communal harmony, and the democratic values for which he tirelessly struggled.
Red Salute to Comrade Sampat Prakash Ji.
“Great leaders never truly leave us. They continue to live through the movements they built, the people they inspired, and the values they defended.”
