SANKALP: JKEDI launches Entrepreneurship Development Program at ITI Kangan

GANDERBAL, DECEMBER 11: The Jammu and Kashmir Entrepreneurship Development Institute (JKEDI) Wednesday launched six days Entrepreneurship Development Program (EDP) under the SANKALP initiative at the Industrial Training Institute (ITI) Kangan. 

The EDP is designed to equip aspiring entrepreneurs with the skills and knowledge required to establish and manage successful business ventures.

The inaugural ceremony was graced online by the Director JKEDI, Rajinder Kumar Sharma, who underscored the pivotal role of entrepreneurship in driving local economic growth and creating self-employment opportunities for the youth of Jammu and Kashmir.

Addressing the participants, Director JKEDI encouraged them to actively participate in the training sessions and utilize the resources and mentorship available through the program.

He reiterated JKEDI’s unwavering commitment to supporting budding entrepreneurs in their journey toward self-reliance and economic empowerment.

The event witnessed the presence of the District Nodal Officer, JKEDI Ganderbal, Principal ITI and faculty members from both institutions.

During the occasion, Principal ITI expressed gratitude for the collaboration with JKEDI, emphasizing the importance of such initiatives in bridging the gap between technical education and entrepreneurial opportunities.

The EDP, launched under the SANKALP (Skills Acquisition and Knowledge Awareness for Livelihood Promotion) initiative, aims to provide participants with comprehensive training in business development, financial management, and market strategies. It seeks to nurture entrepreneurial talent and encourage innovation, particularly among rural youth.

This inauguration marks the commencement of a week-long program featuring interactive sessions, practical exercises, and expert talks, all tailored to help participants transform their entrepreneurial aspirations into reality.
