Mumbai, 14th Sep – Ameena, the powerful Bollywood feature film produced and directed by Kumar Raj, celebrated a grand milestone as it triumphantly completed 25 weeks in theaters. The Silver Jubilee celebration took place at the ISCON Hare Krishna Auditorium in Juhu, Mumbai, with the entire cast and crew coming together to mark this significant achievement.
Released by Reliance Entertainment on 12th April 2024, in India , USA , Canada , UK & Ireland to coincide with the festive spirit of Eid, Ameena feature film has captivated audiences and critics alike with its thought-provoking storyline, which blends a true incident with the ongoing struggles of women in today’s world. Inspired by renowned Urdu playwright Aftab Hasnain’s play Yahan Ameena Bikti Hai, the film champions the cause of women’s empowerment, as its protagonist defiantly asserts, “I am not Ameena, I am Meena, and I won’t commit suicide.”
