Srinagar 22 January 2026 (Wani Arfat): In a major step towards the fusion of modern technology and medical sciences, Sher-i-Kashmir Institute of Medical Sciences (SKIMS) successfully organized the “AI SUMMIT, 2026” on January 22, under the theme “Transforming Healthcare through Intelligent Technologies in the Kashmir Valley.” The summit emerged as a significant platform where the region’s leading medical experts and technology professionals converged to discuss the future of healthcare in Kashmir. The event was organized by the Skill Development Unit SKIMS (Centre of One Health) in collaboration with Data LEADS and the Multidisciplinary Research Unit (MRU) SKIMS, and received strong support from Digital J&K and the Department of Information Technology, Government of J&K.
A key highlight of the summit was the active participation of Prof. Ajaz Ul Hassan, who was awarded a Certificate of Participation for his meaningful contribution to the high-level deliberations. The summit focused on the potential of Artificial Intelligence (AI) to enhance diagnostic accuracy, patient care, and medical research in the region.
