
Mumbai, July 23 : The Indian Film Festival of Melbourne (IFFM) 2024 is set to be an unforgettable event as renowned singer Sona Mohapatra and celebrated music composer & producer Ram Sampath, take the stage for a spectacular live concert. This special performance will feature the dynamic couple collaborating with Australian local artist, Mitch Tambo known for his roots in the indigenous music of Australia and hailing from the community of the indigenous people of Australia.
The performance is set to be the first of its kind amalgamation of the two unique cultures of diversely different countries, bringing the universal language of music to bind the celebration of Indian cinema & music, down under.
Ram Sampath is riding high on his latest hit “Sajni Re” from the film “Laapataa Ladies,” which has become a sensation, topping charts across leading music platforms and continues to stay on the top of musical charts as one of the biggest musical hits of the year. The collaboration with Mitch aims to promote the idea of unity through music, bridging cultural and historical gaps between India and Australia.
Sona Mohapatra, who previously attended IFFM in 2022, is no stranger to the festival. Her critically acclaimed documentary “Shut Up Sona” won the Best Documentary Film Award at IFFM, solidifying her presence at the festival.
