Secretary Youth Services & Sports Sarmad Hafeez attends the programme aimed at reaching out to uncovered beneficiaries of Government schemes
VBSY is a pioneering evolution of citizen centric governance: DC Srinagar
During the event, a lot of excitement was seen and members of District Development Council, Block Development Council, other PRIs and people in large number actively participated in the proceedings aimed at informing citizens about the Governments welfare programmes and flagship schemes to empower them under the ongoing Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra.
Adressing the ocassion, the Secretary, Youth Services & Sports elaborated on the transformative impact of Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra on the citizens as the main goal is to reach uncovered beneficiaries to make them entitled to the benefit they deserve.
The Secretary also underscored the importance of the yatra in fostering development and promoting engagement with government schemes and also achieve saturation under Government sponsored citizen centric schemes.
While inspecting the Stalls set up by different Departments at the event, the Secretary hailed the efforts of the District Administration Srinàgar. He said these Stalls showcased the schemes of the Departments providing a visual representation of the initiatives aimed at promoting economic growth. He encouraged the public to avail full advantage of government schemes tailored for their socio-economic empowerment.
He also stressed the Government machinery to make people fuly aware of the schemes to their best satisfaction so that they carry forward the message ahead.
The Deputy Commissioner Srinagar also spoke on the occasion and said that the VBSY is an ultimate programme launched by Prime Minister to ensure the widespread awareness among rural masses and reach unreached population so that they take benefit from Government welfare schemes
On the ocassion, Open Defecation Free (ODF) Plus certificates were given to deserving panchayats, underscoring the commendable strides made in sanitation and hygiene.
During the awareness programme several beneficiaries were given sanction letters on the spot.
During the programme, the arrival of the Viksit Bharat Yatra Van added an extra layer of significance, symbolizing the Government’s commitment to continuous public welfare and improved facilitiesat grass root level.
While, Viksit Sankalp Bharat Yatra” pledge was also administered to the participant gathering.
At Eidgah, Khonmoh beneficiaries of Government schemes were eager to share their success stories, and recorded the tangible benefits they had reaped from these welfare schemes through “Meri Kahani Meri Zubani”.
The cultural programmes highlighting the flagship schemes were also presented on the occasion in order to sensitize local population about the objectives of the Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra campaign.
Senior officers of District Administration Srinagar, besides Zonal and Sectoral Officers of the line Departments were present in the Mega Event held under VBSY.
