152 out of 184 projects completed; CE
Srinagar, Nov 9: Ever since the Srinagar Smart City Limited (SSCL) was incorporated in 2017, over 150 projects have been completed in the summer capital of Jammu and Kashmir while the majority of the remaining are set to be completed by the end of next month.
As per the details shared by the Chief Engineer SSCL, Er Qayoom Kirmani, a total of 32 projects are pending only out of the total 184 projects, saying that work over the pending projects is going on.
He added that out of the 32 ongoing projects, majority of them are expected to be completed by the end of December month, adding that 90 per cent work on the projects like Karan Nagar, Dalgate-Gojwara Road and others have been completed so far and it would take not more than a month to complete the projects.
However, Kirmani said that some of the projects—below one dozen in number, may not be completed this year as it would take some more months to finalize these projects. “We are expecting that the remaining projects will be completed by March 2025,” Kirmani said.
Notably, the SSCL has come up with major projects in the last couple of years including the renovation of Ganta Ghar, Kashmir’s only pedestrian market, Jhelum View Front and others.
These projects after completion have turned into the major attractive sites for the visitors from outside J&K, who could be seen visiting these places and clicking the pictures at this spots as well.
