Taali:

This extensively discussed web series of 2023 was created by creators Arjun and Kartk and showcased one of the most compelling performances of the year. Sushmita Sen delivered a transformative portrayal of transgender activist Shreegauri Sawant, emphasising the need for an inclusive society and the urgency to dispel prevailing misconceptions and prejudices about a marginalised community. ‘Taali’ effectively conveys a potent social message and has gained both popular appeal and critical acclaim, solidifying its position as a must-watch series. Pathaan:
This year proved that Shah Rukh Khan’s ability to deliver a massive surprise can never be underestimated. Following a box-office disappointment like ‘Zero’ in 2018, the actor began the year by showcasing his box-office prowess and made a triumphant return with ‘Pathaan.’ The movie, grossing Rs 1,050.30 crore worldwide, served as the fourth instalment of the YRF Spy universe. It also breathed a fresh lease of life into Hindi cinema, which was struggling to recover from post-pandemic setbacks. SRK received ample support from the rest of the cast, including Deepika Padukone, John Abraham, and Dimple Kapadia. ‘Pathaan’ is now streaming on Amazon Prime.
The Archies:
