ANANTNAG, AUGUST 07: As part of Swachhata Pakhwada campaign, a series of activities were today organised by various departments at Anantnag.
To commemorate the cleanliness campaign, the Department of Information organised a number of cleanliness drives at the Shri Amarnath Ji Yatra Camps including at Nunwan, Panjtarni, Chandanwari and Sheshnag. Additionally, a cleanliness drive was also organised at the District Information Office.
The School Education Department under the banner of Shuchita Sangram conducted special cleanliness drives focusing on adopted water bodies, public parks, and heritage sites. Students, staff members and community members actively participated in these drives, working together to enhance the cleanliness and environmental sustainability of their local areas.
The Department of Youth Services & Sports also conducted programmes during the ongoing Swachhta Pakhwada as per already issued calendar by District Administration.
At various schools in Bijbehara including the Government Higher Secondary School (GHSS) Bijbehara and Boys Higher Secondary School (BHSS) Bijbehara, numerous sports and cleanliness activities were organised.
The Swachhta Pledge was also administered among students and staff. The National Anthem was also played to instill a sense of patriotism and unity among the participants and students.
