TLSC Kangan organizes Awareness programme on ‘Rights, Entitlements & Remedies of Individuals’ at Haknar

GANDERBAL, NOV 07: As part of the ongoing Legal Services Week, the Tehsil Legal Services Committee (TLSC) Kangan today organized an awareness camp on ‘Rights, Entitlements and Remedies of Individuals and Schemes available to the persons in the Social Welfare Department’ at Haknar Gund.
Eassar Ul Nabi, Chairman TLSC Kangan was the chief guest on the occasion. SHO Police Station Gund, BDC Chairman Gund, Advocate Sajad Ahmad Khan, Officials and PLVs from TLSC Kangan, Officials from social Welfare Department attended the camp. Besides, the District President of Human Rights and Anti Corruption forum and the general public also participated in the said awareness camp.

Officials of the Social Welfare department, Manzoor Ahmad, Ruqaya Bano and Mushtaq Ahmad delivered speeches on the said Topic and highlighted the benefits of various social welfare schemes available to the general public.
Speaking on the occasion, Resource Person Advocate Sajad Ahmad Khan said that the government is running various social welfare schemes for the benefits of poor and downtrodden sections of society such as Old Age Pension scheme, Widow Pension scheme, schemes for disabled persons, National Family Benefit scheme, Marriage Assistance scheme and Scholarships schemes. He also defined in detail eligibility criteria for availing the benefits of above-mentioned schemes.
The general Public raised many queries and grievances regarding the above mentioned schemes and various grievances were resolved on spot by the intervention of Chairman TLSC Kangan while various other grievances were received by PLVs which will be forwarded to concerned departments for redressal.
