KUPWARA, NOVEMBER 25: A training programme for field functionaries and supervisors/enumerators of Revenue department for Agricultural Census was today organized at the meeting hall of DC Office Complex Kupwara.
The Training programme was kick-started by Deputy Commissioner, (DC) Kupwara, Ayushi Sudhan. Assistant Commissioner (Revenue) Kupwara, Mumtaz Ahmad (Nodal officer of the district for the census programme), Dy. Director Planning, Bashir Ahmad Malik, AD Planning, Gh Nabi Najar were present on the occasion.
Various Revenue Officers including Tehsildars, Naib Tehsildars, and Patwaries of district Kupwara participated in the programme.
The training focused mainly on the collection of data on number of Agricultural Operational Holders, land use, digitisation, Kind of soil, Tenancy status and irrigation facilities.
On the occasion, Master trainers from Financial Commissioner, Revenue office Srinagar, District Master trainers Kupwara explained the importance and methods of agriculture census through a detailed powerpoint presentation (PPT).
This agricultural census in phased manner is going on through an Android App and web based system in Kupwara district which is very significant for the planners and policy makers.
