Valley Votes: Rahul Gandhi to kick off J&K election campaign crusade today 

Srinagar, Sep 3: The Indian National Congress (INC) senior leader and the Leader of Opposition (LOP) in Lok Sabha, Rahul Gandhi is all set to kick-start the campaigning in Jammu and Kashmir on Wednesday to woo the voters ahead of the assembly elections in the Union Territory.
According to The Morning Kashmir, Rahul is among the 120 star campaigners, who are arriving in Jammu and Kashmir during the three phases of assembly elections, slated to be held from September 18.

The Pradesh Congress Committee (PCC) had confirmed the arrival of Rahul Gandhi on Wednesday, saying that the leader will be addressing two rallies in Sangaldan in Ramban and Dooru in South Kashmir’s Anantnag district.
Rahul will be addressing the rally in Sangaldan constituency at 11:00 AM and will address the gathering in Dooru constituency at 12:00 PM where the All India Congress Committee (AICC) General Secretary and former PCC President, Ghulam Ahmad Mir is contesting.
Rahul Gandhi will arrive at the two constituencies in Chopper, a senior leader from PCC informed.
The two rallies would be the first major rally by any political party in Jammu and Kashmir.
Pertinently, this would be the second visit of Rahul Gandhi to Jammu and Kashmir in the last one month.
Earlier on August 21, Rahul Gandhi along with AICC President, Malikarjun Kharge visited J&K and addressed the workers in both Srinagar and Jammu districts.
The duo also met the National Conference (NC) leadership in Srinagar following which the pre-poll alliance between NC and Congress for the upcoming assembly elections was announced by NC President Dr Farooq Abdullah.
