30 Youth Complete Free 3-Month Web Development Course in Pampore, Felicitated at GDC Pampore

Pampore, April 28: A felicitation ceremony marking the successful completion of a three-month Skill Development Course in Web Development was held at Government Degree College Pampore on Tuesday.
The programme was organized by the District Employment and Counselling Centre Pulwama in collaboration with DcodeFuture Pampore, with the aim of equipping unemployed youth of the district with industry-relevant digital skills.

Principal of the college, Dr. Gazala Gayis, who attended the event as Chief Guest, underscored the growing importance of skill-based education in today’s rapidly evolving digital landscape. She appreciated the initiative, stating that such programmes play a crucial role in enhancing the employability of youth by providing practical knowledge and exposure.
Career Counsellor Rayees Shapoo from the Department of Employment and Career Counselling also addressed the gathering and highlighted the department’s continued efforts to create meaningful career pathways through structured training and guidance initiatives.
Founder of DcodeFuture, Aadil Bhat, spoke about the course structure and its outcomes, emphasizing the organization’s commitment to promoting coding and digital literacy among young learners. He encouraged participants to build on the skills they had acquired and explore opportunities in the growing tech ecosystem.
The course focused on key aspects of web development and provided hands-on training to participants throughout its duration, aiming to bridge the gap between education and employability.
On the occasion, meritorious students were felicitated for their outstanding performance. Amarah Arshid secured the first position, followed by Momin Mushtaq in second place and Saima Ashraf in third.
Certificates were also distributed among all participants in recognition of their successful completion of the course.
The ceremony concluded on a positive note, reaffirming the shared commitment of stakeholders towards empowering youth and creating opportunities through skill development initiatives.

Speaking to Morning Kashmir, Founder of DcodeFuture, Aadil Bhat, said that a felicitation ceremony was held today to mark the successful completion of a three-month skill development course conducted under Mission YUVA by the Department of Employment and Career Counselling Pulwama.
He informed that a total of 30 students participated in the programme, which was offered free of cost by the government. The course concluded today after three months of training, followed by a felicitation ceremony to recognize the efforts and achievements of the participants.
Bhat further stated that the students also received a stipend of Rs 3,000 per month from the government during the course period. He added that the Department of Employment and Career Counselling regularly conducts such programmes and had collaborated with DcodeFuture for this particular training.
The entire three-month training was conducted at DcodeFuture, where students were provided hands-on learning in web development. At the end of the course, a proper examination was conducted to assess their skills and understanding.
He emphasized that such initiatives play a vital role in empowering youth by equipping them with practical knowledge and preparing them for future career opportunities.

Speaking to Morning Kashmir, Career Counsellor, Department of Employment and Career Counselling Pulwama, Rayees Ahmad Shapoo, said that organising skill development programmes is a key mandate of the department, aimed at empowering youth with employable skills every year.
He said that such programmes are not limited to Pulwama district but are being implemented across the entire Union Territory. “Today’s felicitation ceremony was held at Government Degree College Pampore to mark the completion of a three-month course by the participating students,” he said.
Shapoo informed that the programme had a capacity of 30 candidates and was offered completely free of cost, with all financial expenditures borne by the government. In addition, the participants were provided a monthly travel allowance (TA) of Rs 1,000 during the course period.
He further emphasized that the primary objective of these courses is to equip youth with practical skills so that they can secure employment in the private sector. “Not only can they find jobs, but they can also become self-employed and generate their own livelihood using the skills they acquire,” he added.
