GANDERBAL, APRIL 22: The Deputy Commissioner Ganderbal, Shyambir today reviewed the arrangements for the upcoming annual Kheer Bhawani Mela at Tullamulla here in a meeting.
The meeting, attended by officials and representatives, delved into various crucial aspects essential for the smooth conduct of the event.
The DC emphasized the imperative of seamless coordination among the concerned departments to ensure the successful execution of the Mela.
The Municipal Council Ganderbal was specifically tasked with ensuring proper sanitation along the approach road to the temple, along with the installation of dustbins at strategic locations.
The Department of Food, Civil Supplies, and Consumer Affairs (FCS&CA) was directed to ensure the availability of all essential commodities, including kerosene and LPG, for the devotees.
Furthermore, instructions were given to the officers and representatives of Dharmarth Trust to ensure that devotees are provided requisite facilities, with meticulous attention to detail to guarantee a smooth and hassle-free experience.
Security arrangements were a focal point of the discussions, with the ASP instructed to install CCTV cameras at prominent locations. Additionally, the Executive Engineer of the Irrigation and Flood Control (I&FC) department was directed to undertake dredging and de-weeding of Tullamulla Nallah before the commencement of the Mela.
The R&B department was tasked with initiating macadamization work on all road patches leading to the Kheer Bhawani Temple.
The Traffic department was urged to prepare a comprehensive traffic plan in consultation with the Tehsildar Tullamulla and the Executive Engineer R&B within a week to ensure smooth traffic flow on all routes leading to Tullamulla.
The meeting was attended by Additional District Development Commissioner, Mushtaq Ahmad Simnani; Additional Deputy Commissioner, Gulzar Ahmad; ASP, CPO, ACD, CMO, Executive Engineers of R&B, I&FC, and Jal Sakhti, alongside representatives of Dharmarth Trust.
