Bandipora Aug 12: In a remarkable achievement, district Bandipora has been honored with the prestigious award for the “Best Performance in Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (PMAY)” by Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha during a felicitation ceremony held on Saturday titled as AWAS Mega Mahotsav.
This recognition underscores the commitment of the district towards ensuring affordable housing for all and marks a significant milestone in the journey towards achieving the goals of the PMAY initiative.
The award was received on behalf of the district administration by the Additional District Development Commissioner (ADDC) and Assistant Commissioner, Panchayat, Bandipora. The unwavering dedication, strategic planning, and meticulous execution of Assistant Commissioner Development Bandipora, have played a pivotal role in the successful implementation of the PMAY in the district. This award not only acknowledges their exceptional efforts but also serves as an inspiration for others to follow suit in the pursuit of socio-economic development.
The Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana, launched by the Government of India, aims to provide affordable housing to the urban and rural poor. The recognition of District Bandipora’s contribution to this vital initiative stands as a testament to the effectiveness of the district’s strategies, community engagement, and administrative efficiency.
On this momentous occasion, the Deputy Commissioner, Bandipora expressed his heartfelt gratitude to the entire team of RDD, acknowledging their commitment and perseverance. The DC also expressed his gratitude towards the residents of Bandipora for their cooperation and participation, as well as the PRIs(DDCs, BDCs, Sarpanches and Panches) that have supported the PMAY implementation in the district.
