Baramulla, March 18, 2026: The Baramulla Cricket Forum (BCF) on Wednesday organised a grand felicitation ceremony to honour outstanding contributors to cricket in the region. The event was graced by Major General Manoj Joshi, VSM, General Officer Commanding (GOC), 19 Infantry Division, who attended as the Chief Guest.
Among the awardees was Aqib Nabi Dar, a promising cricketer from Baramulla who has earned national recognition through his consistent performances. He was notably honoured for being named Man of the Series in the prestigious Ranji Trophy, marking a significant milestone in his cricketing career.
In a major boost to women’s sports, certificates were distributed among members of the Women’s Cricket Team, recognising their participation and growing presence in the game.
The ceremony also featured the unveiling of the BCF Cup Trophy, symbolising the Forum’s continued commitment to fostering competitive cricket. The event concluded with a vote of thanks, followed by a group photograph.
