Baramulla, November 30, 2025: Continuing its action against social crimes, Baramulla Police arrested three gamblers and seized stake money, playing cards, and mobile phones from their possession.
Acting on specific information, a police party from Police Post Old Town Baramulla conducted a swift raid on the banks of River Jhelum near Kakkar Hamam and apprehended the accused on the spot. They have been identified as:
Parvaiz Ahmad Kaloo, son of Abdul Ahad Kaloo, resident of Ganaie Hamaam, Old Town Baramulla
Bilal Ahmad Sheikh, son of Ghulam Rasool Sheikh, resident of Drangbal Baramulla
Adil Majeed Sheikh, son of Abdul Majeed Sheikh, resident of Kakkar Hamam
Officers seized stake money amounting to ₹9,360/-, playing cards, and four mobile phones from their possession. Accordingly, a case under FIR No. 212/2025, U/S 13 Gambling Act, has been registered at Police Station Baramulla, and investigation has been initiated.
