PAMPORE, October 01: A blood donation camp was organised at the Municipal Committee Khrew area of Pampore Medical Block in South Kashmir’s Pulwama district on Wednesday.
The camp was held under the supervision of Block Medical Officer (BMO) Pampore in collaboration with the Blood Center, District Hospital Pulwama, at Town Hall Khrew. It was inaugurated by MLA Pampore, Retired Justice Hasnain Masoodi, in the presence of BMO Pampore Dr. Yousuf Majid, Medical Officer Khrew, Incharge Blood Storage Shamim Abdullah, and other medical staff, officials told Morning Kashmir.
Officials said the main objective of the camp was to motivate people to donate blood voluntarily to save the lives of patients in need. A number of volunteers, particularly youth, came forward to donate blood during the drive.
BMO Pampore, Dr. Yousuf Majid, expressed gratitude to the people, especially the youth of Khrew and Pampore, for their enthusiastic participation in the camp.
Speaking on the occasion, MLA Pampore, Retired Justice Hasnain Masoodi, lauded the initiative for organizing such a humanitarian programme and praised the volunteers and donors for their active participation. He emphasized that blood donation is a noble deed that saves precious lives and highlighted the importance of community involvement in health and welfare activities.
