Brigadier Gurbir Singh Applauds Sopore Girls Cadets, Pushes for Republic Day Parade Inclusion

Sopore, April 24: Brigadier Gurbir Singh, Group Commander of the National Cadet Corps (NCC) Group HQ Srinagar, on Friday lauded the talent and discipline of young cadets during his visit to Sanctorum Public School.

Interacting with NCC cadets and witnessing vibrant performances, he described them as “young buds ready to bloom” and emphasized the importance of nurturing such promising talent.

He expressed particular admiration for the girls cadets, stating that he would like to see them represent Kashmir in the upcoming Republic Day Parade.Highlighting their potential, Brigadier Singh said that next year’s NCC contingent should prominently feature girls from Kashmir, calling it a significant step toward greater representation and empowerment.

“It gives me great satisfaction and honour to witness the group performances of this school,” he said, referring to an impressive band display and a group dance presented by the students.

Calling his visit a “proud moment,” he appreciated the institution’s efforts in promoting discipline, culture, and confidence among youth. He also motivated the cadets to aim high and strive for excellence on national and global platforms.
