Chief Secretary reviews HADP projects

“Take corrective measures to fill gaps”

SRINAGAR, SEPTEMBER 06: Chief Secretary, Atal Dulloo today chaired a meeting at Civil Secretariat here to review the status and progress of implementation of projects under Holistic Agriculture Development Program (HADP).

Besides, Principal Secretary Agriculture Production Department, the meeting was attended by Managing Director & CEO, J&K Bank, Mission Director, HADP, All Deputy Commissioners of J&K UT, heads of various departments.

Assessing the performance of each project on different parameters, Chief Secretary emphasized the need to expedite establishment of various project activities. During the meeting, key issues were identified with immediate directives issued for their resolution.

Dulloo said that there must be focused attention on the extension and outreach of HADP activities to ensure that intending beneficiaries across the length and breadth of J&K are brought within the ambit of HADP.

He called for a thorough analytical study of the implementation process so far to identify the areas where we are lacking. He said that the study will help us in identifying the gaps so that tailor made corrective measures are taken to fill those gaps.

He impressed upon the officers to commit themselves towards achieving the set targets within stipulated timelines, ensuring optimal utilization of allocated resources. He asked them to expedite ongoing works on these prestigious projects so that benefits are provided to the farming community.

Chief Secretary further called for coordinated efforts between farmers, APD, universities, HoDs for smooth flow of the implementation process.

During the meeting, the officers presented detailed updates on implementation status, challenges encountered and strategies to expedite pending activities under these schemes. The review concluded with a reaffirmed commitment to expedite project activities and ensure effective collaboration among all stakeholders to achieve the objectives of the HADP.
