SRINAGAR JULY 16: In a continued push towards improving urban air quality, Commissioner, Srinagar Municipal Corporation, Faz Lul Haseeb chaired a comprehensive review meeting today at SMC headquarters, Karan Nagar to assess progress under the National Clean Air Programme (NCAP).
Commissioner acknowledged the progress made so far, applauding the departments for their efforts, while also drawing attention to areas that demand focused and accelerated action.
Haseeb urged all concerned departments, including the Roads & Buildings (R&B) department, to fast-track pending projects, improve coordination mechanisms, and streamline administrative procedures to facilitate timely execution. Stressing transparency and accountability, Commissioner directed officials to maintain a collaborative and result-oriented approach in achieving NCAP goals.
In his closing remarks, Commissioner reaffirmed that air quality improvement remains a top priority for SMC. He pledged continuous monitoring of project implementation and emphasized the shared responsibility of all stakeholders in creating a sustainable and livable city.
