SRINAGAR, OCT 25: As part of the week-long celebrations to mark the UT Foundation Day on 31st October, the Cultural Unit Kashmir of the Department of Information and Public Relations (DIPR) organized a Nukkad Natak and Ladishah (traditional storytelling) at the historic Ghanta Ghar in Lalchowk today.
The theme of the Nukkad Natak was “Badalta Khilta Jammu Kashmir” (Changing and Blooming Jammu Kashmir). The performance highlighted the various developmental initiatives taken by the government in Jammu and Kashmir since the reorganisation of J&K as a UT, especially the record-making digitization of government services.
Speaking to the media, Cultural Officer Kashmir Burhan Hussain said that the Cultural Unit Kashmir of DIPR will organize a series of Nukkad Nataks, Ladishahs, photo exhibitions, and other activities across the Union Territory in the coming days to create awareness about the developmental activities taking place in Jammu and Kashmir. Through these activities, DIPR aims to showcase the transformations witnessed in development and other social sectors in J&K over the past few years.
