New Delhi, May 30: Senior photojournalist Aabid Nabi of Daily Excelsior has been awarded the prestigious Chief of Defence Staff (CDS) Commendation Card in recognition of his contribution to journalism and media coverage in the Kashmir Valley.
The commendation was presented by General Anil Chauhan at a ceremony held in New Delhi.
Nabi, a seasoned photojournalist, was honoured for his professional work documenting key events and developments across Kashmir over the years.
Known for his extensive field coverage, he has earned recognition for responsible and balanced reporting through his photographic work.
The award has been welcomed by members of the media fraternity in Jammu and Kashmir, who described the honour as a significant recognition of the role of journalism in informing the public and documenting developments in the region.
