DEO Anantnag inspects Training Venues & Voter Facilitation Centers

ANANTNAG, SEPTEMBER 13:  The District Election Officer (DEO) Anantnag, Syed Fakhrudin Hamid today conducted a comprehensive inspection of training venues and voter facilitation centers, including Government Degree College Boys (GDC) Anantnag and GDC Mattan.

The visit aimed to assess the readiness of these centers in preparation for the upcoming elections. During the inspection, the DEO reviewed the facilities and noted that all Nodal Officers have to ensure that all training for election officials was up-to-date. He also verified that the voter facilitation centers were equipped to handle the needs of the electorate efficiently.

At GDC Boys Anantnag, the officer evaluated the setup for training sessions, ensuring that all necessary materials and resources were in place. Similarly, at GDC Mattan, attention was given to preparing the center to provide effective assistance to voters. These inspections are part of broader efforts to ensure a smooth and efficient electoral process.

DEO directed the concerned officers to focus on enhancing voter engagement and ensuring that all election-related activities are conducted seamlessly.

DEO Shopian visits polling stations of AC Shopian, takes appraisal of AMF, other preparations

SHOPIAN, SEPTEMBER 13: The District Election Officer (DEO) Shopian, Mohammad Shahid Saleem Dar today undertook an extensive visit to several polling stations of 37- Shopian Assembly Constituency, in order to inspect and review on- ground preparations for the smooth conduct of the Assembly elections, being held on 18th September.

DEO inspected polling stations located at Kathohallen, Nagbal and Narpora. He also visited special polling stations including PwD managed polling station at Sindoo, Shirmal and Green Polling stations at Bori Hallan.

The inspection encompassed a thorough examination of various assured minimum facilities including provision of water, power, ramps, wheel chairs, etc.

DEO assessed the arrangements with a particular focus on the provision of wheelchairs, ramps and other enabling facilities for elderly voters and persons with disabilities (PWDs) in line with commitment to a voter- friendly environment.

The DEO was accompanied by Nodal Officer, Special polling stations and other concerned officials who were asked to make appropriate arrangements at the Polling stations for the polling staff and voters.
