DHEW Kulgam organizes series of events to celebrate ‘International Women’s Day’

KULGAM, MAR 08 : In observance of International Women’s Day, the District Hub for Empowerment of Women (DHEW) Kulgam today organized a series of events to celebrate this significant occasion.
In this connection, a day-long felicitation cum awareness programme was also held at the Auditorium Hall of Mini Secretariat, here which was attended by officers and officials from the DHEW, Social Welfare Department Kulgam and One Stop Centre Kulgam.

Distinguished speakers at the event passionately urged the community to actively participate in empowering women and emphasized the government’s unwavering commitment and resolve towards women’s empowerment.
The program served as a platform to inspire collective action and support for gender equality and women’s rights.
As a gesture of encouragement, kits were distributed among women achievers and lactating women who recently welcomed baby girls.
During the programme, participants were also informed about various government schemes and programmes aimed at promoting the welfare of women.
The event concluded with a rally, marking the culmination of the day’s activities.
