Mumbai, Sep 29 : Director Raaj Shandilyaa clarifies his stance on plagiarism accusation for Vicky Vidya Ka Woh Wala Video exclusively with Mk
On the outset Director Raaj Shandliyaa clarifies stating,” After every film is set to release someone or the other comes in and claims it to be their story. For my film, “Dream Girl 1-2 also people had come up with such nonsense. It’s not as if the central character playing the role of a doctor is lifted from Munna Bhai. Any film based on Army backdrop can’t be claimed that it has been lifted from the film,”Border.”
Adding further he said, “Without knowing what our film is all about, which era it represents- you just can’t claim it to be your story just after watching the trailer of a film. However, we will be giving an apt reply to their legal notice that we have received.Har film ke baad kayi Shahjehan aate hai…TajMahal humne banaya hai. Such people only want to gain publicity so that their name is recognised.
Raaj also asks a few questions to them,” If we have taken your story, you could have discussed with us…yeh sense wali baat nahi hai…yeh nonsense hai. If they had this story with them, why did they not make it for many years.
Highlighting the genre of Vicky Vidya Ka Woh Wala Video’ he updtaes, ours is a family-oriented film and is of the 90’s era.”
Why does your name be associated mostly with plagiarism, “My films prove to be a hit so I’m the soft target. Every filmmaker like Karan Johar, Amir Khan and many more get such claims.
He also reveals about the sequel of,” VVKWWV,” Humara sequel aane wala hai…apka aa raha hai kya? Yes, iska sequel aa raha hai.”
Lastly, he informs, “We will take proper legal action against them…aise log aakar film ki opportunity ko kharab kar rahe hai. The film releases on 11 October.” He concludes.

Soon after the trailer release of VBKVWV in which a newlywed couple are seen making a sex video from their first night which goes missing. Director Raaj Shandilyaa’s Vicky Vidya Ka Woh Wala Video has landed in a legal fight, as producer Sanjay Tiwari has accused director Raaj of lifting Gulbanu’s work. A Notice has been served to Super Cassette Industry limited [T series] Balaji Motion Pictures Limited and others with the subject, ‘Ceased and desist notice for infringement of storyline authored and owned by Sanjay Tiwari and Gulbanu Khan. As per the notice Shandilyaa took away their story without their knowledge.
According to Gulbanu Khan [Media reports] They had planned to start the film in 2017-2018.The title,” Sex Hai Toh Life Hai’. It was registered by me with WIFPA in 2018 and we were working on the script, but because of some personal issue, it was delayed. It’s shocking that someone could misappropriate our ideas. The central idea of the film is very important.
