Ganderbal: Team of Drug Control officers of Ganderbal Mr. Bilal Ahmad Rather and Ms. Hadiya Shah carried out surprise inspections on several medical shops in Kulan and Sonmarg, following a complaint, leading to immediate action against violators.
The inspections were conducted under the personal supervision of the Assistant Controller Drugs (ACD) of Ganderbal and Bandipora Dr Shibeer Ahmad Bhat.During the operation, multiple medical establishments were checked for compliance with licensing conditions and other legal requirements.
On-the-spot notices have been served to the medical shops found violating the conditions of the licenses. In a significant enforcement move, three medical shops were immediately sealed under Section 22(d) of the Drugs and Cosmetics Act, 1940.
Crackdown is part of a broader effort to ensure the safe sale and distribution of pharmaceutical products in the region.Further investigations are ongoing, and additional action may follow based on findings.
