Srinagar: Police have registered FIR No. 84/2026 at Police Station Nishat against Laila Qureshi, her husband Tariq Mir and her brother Abrar Qureshi over serious allegations arising from an incident at Syeda House, Gupt Ganga, Ishber, Nishat.
The FIR, registered on 31 August 2026, invokes Sections 74, 324(4) and 305 of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita, 2023.
According to the FIR, the complainant alleged that she was dragged by her hair, subjected to assault and molestation, and forcibly removed from the residence along with her children.
The complaint further alleges that gold ornaments, important documents and other valuable belongings were taken away, while the residence’s alarm system, cameras and computers were allegedly damaged.
The FIR names Mohammad Abrar Qureshi, Laila Qureshi and Tariq as accused persons.
The allegations include serious offences relating to outraging the modesty of a woman, assault and alleged removal/looting of valuables and property.
The matter is now under police investigation. The allegations are subject to investigation and judicial determination in accordance with law.
