Boniyar, Uri: Actress Hina Khan, during her visit to Army Goodwill School (AGS) Boniyar, praised the institution for providing quality education and nurturing confidence, clarity and ambition among students.
Sharing her experience, Hina Khan said she had visited several schools but found AGS Boniyar to be “one of the best”. She was particularly impressed by the students’ confidence, intelligence and clarity about their future goals.
She noted that several students had qualified NEET, while others aspired to pursue engineering and other careers. “They are very clear with what they want in life,” she said, highlighting the students’ confidence and sense of direction.
Hina Khan also appreciated the school’s infrastructure, teachers and subsidised education, giving credit to the defence establishment for planning and managing such schools in remote and smaller areas.
She suggested that similar educational institutions should also be established in major cities so that more children could benefit from quality education and facilities.
The actress said she was especially impressed to learn that nearly 99 per cent of the students she interacted with had been studying at the school since nursery and had continued through Classes 9 and 10.
“जब आप school नहीं छोड़ते हो ना अपना, तो समझ जाओ कि school बहुत अच्छा है,” she said, underlining the students’ long association with the institution as a reflection of their satisfaction with the school.
Hina Khan said the confidence she witnessed among the students, along with their desire to achieve something meaningful in life, was among the most encouraging aspects of her visit.
Her interaction with the students and appreciation of the school left the young learners visibly excited and inspired.
