Mumbai (Anil Bedag). A new destination for photography enthusiasts and visual creators has opened in Mumbai. Fujifilm India has launched India’s first ‘Fujifilm House of Photography’ in Andheri West. Spread across approximately 5,795 square feet, the two-storey centre is Fujifilm’s 11th such facility worldwide.
The initiative was launched on the occasion of World Photography Day, making the year even more significant as it marks 200 years since the invention of photography. The centre offers visitors an opportunity to experience camera and printing technologies while learning, experimenting and enhancing their creative skills.
Yuziro Igarashi, General Manager, Imaging Business Division, said, “We wanted to create a space that goes beyond simply showcasing products and instead fosters creativity, learning and community.”
The ground floor features hands-on experiences with Instax, X Series and GFX cameras, along with dedicated zones for QuickSnap and binoculars. The first floor houses a photo gallery, creator studio, workshop area and a professional print centre.
According to Arun Babu, Associate Director, Fujifilm India, “This is not just a place to experience imaging solutions, but a home that brings the photography community together and inspires visual storytelling.” Through workshops, photo walks, exhibitions and creator meet-ups, the centre aims to provide a new platform for Mumbai’s vibrant photography community.
