SRINAGAR, OCT 18: A mesmerizing musical collaboration between Bollywood’s dynamic music duo, Salim-Sulaiman, and the talented composer Mithoon, along with renowned Sufi singer Abdul Rashid Hafiz, is taking the music world by storm. Their creation, titled “Meri Jaan,” is a unique fusion of Hindi and Kashmiri languages, captivating audiences with its soulful melody.
Mithoon and Abdul Rashid Hafiz have composed this extraordinary song, which not only features the legendary Hafiz but also Asees Kaur, renowned for her hit track “Raataan Lambiyan,” lending her melodious voice to the Hindi part of the song.
In the recently released music video, Abdul Rashid Hafiz passionately sings his famous Sufi song, “Ya tuli khanjar to maarey, nat’e saan’i shaba roozay,” which has enchanted audiences in the past. Accompanying Hafiz, Mithoon and a chorus artistically perform the Kashmiri part of the song, creating a harmonious blend of traditional and contemporary sounds.

Salim-Sulaiman shared the trailer of “Meri Jaan” on social media and YouTube, describing it as one of their enchanting melodies. Salim Merchant, one half of the duo, expressed his excitement on social media, saying, “Presenting to you the fourth song of Bhoomi 2023 – Meri Jaan by the amazing Mithoon, and it’s so special that it’s a Hindi-Kashmiri song with the Hindi part sung by Asees Kaur and a beautiful Kashmiri composition by Rashid Sahab.”
In a heartfelt video message, Salim further revealed his deep connection to the song due to its Kashmiri essence. “This song is very special for me because it takes me to the valleys of Kashmir.
