New Delhi, Nov 26: The National Investigation Agency on Wednesday arrested a Faridabad resident for allegedly sheltering militant Umar Un Nabi in the crucial period leading up to the suicide car bombing outside the Red Fort on November 10. The attack had claimed multiple lives and left several others injured, prompting a nationwide investigation to uncover the full network behind the operation.
According to officials, the arrested individual has been identified as Soyab, a native of Dhauj in Faridabad. He is the seventh accused taken into custody in the case registered as RC-21/2025/NIA/DLI. Investigators stated that Soyab not only provided shelter to Umar Un Nabi but also arranged logistical support shortly before the explosion. Sources said the agency is corroborating the nature and extent of the assistance extended to the bomber.
NIA has so far arrested six other associates linked to the conspiracy, each believed to have played a role in facilitating movement, communication or material support to the bomber. The agency has been coordinating with police forces across states as part of its wider effort to trace individuals suspected of aiding or encouraging the attack.
Searches have continued at multiple locations as teams pursue fresh leads. Officials said the agency is examining electronic data, call records and travel patterns of suspects to establish the full chain of events and identify anyone involved in planning or executing the car bombing.
The NIA reiterated that its investigation remains active and that further arrests are likely as the probe progresses. Efforts to unravel the entire conspiracy behind the deadly November 10 attack are ongoing while the agency works to establish whether the bomber received support from a larger network operating across state lines.
