Gunmen Open Fire at Kilam Village; Injured Shifted for Treatment, Security Forces Launch Search Operation
Srinagar, July 31: A non-local labourer was killed while another sustained injuries after terrorists opened fire on them in the Kilam area of Kulgam district on Friday evening, officials said.
A senior J&K police officer told news agency JKNS that terrorists fired upon two non-local labourers at Kilam, leaving both critically injured.
Both were immediately shifted to a nearby hospital, where one of the injured succumbed to his injuries, while the other is undergoing surgery, officer said.
Soon after the attack, security forces rushed to the area, cordoned off the locality and launched a search operation to trace the attackers.
