PM Vishwakarma awareness programme organized at Govt. ITI, Bhaderwah,District Doda

Jammu 20, Feb, 2026: A one-day Awareness Programme for PM Vishwakarma Artisans was
successfully organized at Government Industrial Training Institute (ITI), Bhaderwah, in

District Doda under the guidance of Sh. A.K. Tamaria, Joint Director, MSME-DFO
Jammu. The programme was conducted by MSME-DFO Jammu to create awareness
among traditional artisans and craftspeople about the benefits and opportunities
available under the scheme. Artisans from different trades participated in the
programme and expressed keen interest in the initiative. The programme witnessed the
participation of more than 100 successfully registered PM Vishwakarma artisans
from District Doda, reflecting the growing awareness and enthusiasm among
beneficiaries.
The programme commenced with a welcome address by Gunjan Kumar, MSME DFO
Jammu, who highlighted the significance of PM Vishwakarma Scheme in strengthening
traditional artisans through institutional, financial, and skill-based support and felicitations to
guests by MSME-DFO, Jammu.
Addressing the participants, Sh. Ankit Sharma, Investigator (EI), MSME-DFO Jammu,
who elaborated on the objectives, benefits, and implementation process of the UDYAM
Registration and PM Vishwakarma along with other schemes of Ministry of MSME including
skill upgradation, toolkit incentives, collateral-free credit support, digital transaction
incentives and marketing assistance. He highlighted that the scheme provides formal
recognition and comprehensive support to traditional artisans, enabling them to strengthen
their enterprises and improve their livelihoods. He urged eligible beneficiaries to register
and take full advantages of the schemes of Ministry of MSME.
Sh. Pradeep Shan, AD, Directorate of Handicrafts and Handlooms, Doda emphasised on
the schemes of department of Handicrafts and Handlooms and marketing assistance for
artisans, Sh. Lalit Kumar, Director, RSETI, discussed rural self-employment training and
skill development initiatives, Sh. Neeraj Kumar, IPO, DIC, Doda highlighted PMEGP,
Industrial promotion schemes and registration procedures. Dr. Majeed Manjoor from
Jammu & Kashmir Entrepreneurship Development Institute (JKEDI) explained
entrepreneurship development and J&K startup Policy. Shri Abilash, Manager, IPPB
highlighted on the credit support and financial insights for proper establishment of
Business. He also briefed participants about the delivery of kits. Instructor, Govt. ITI
Bhaderwah, also addressed the participants regarding skill enhancement opportunities
available at the institute. He also encouraged participants to approach the department
without hesitation for any assistance.
The Programme concluded with Question-and-Answer session from Participants side
and vote of thanks by Gunjan Kumar who expressed gratitude to the dignitaries,
participants and the supportive staffs of ITI for the successful conduct of the event. The
event ended with lunch for all participants.
