He quotes, ” I am fortune for being Member of Parliament from UP. Today, I can say with great pride that the hardworking people of Uttar Pradesh are writing a new future. Earlier, UP was discussed for its poor law and order situation; today, UP is discussed for its development”.

The grand Ram Temple in Ayodhya and the Kashi Vishwanath Dham are becoming symbols of Uttar Pradesh’s new identity in the world. Modern constructions like the Rashtra Prerna Sthal further illuminate Uttar Pradesh’s new image. The Prime Minister said that our Uttar Pradesh should achieve even greater heights as a model of good governance, prosperity, and true social justice.
Prime Minister Modi said that December 25th is a very inspiring day connected to India’s history and values. It is the birth anniversary of Bharat Ratna Atal Bihari Vajpayee and Mahamana Madan Mohan Malaviya. These great men protected India’s identity, unity, and pride and left an indelible mark on nation-building. He said, December 25th is also the birth anniversary of Maharaja Bijli Pasi. The famous Bijli Pasi Fort in Lucknow is a symbol of his bravery, good governance, and inclusive legacy. Prime Minister Modi recalled that in year 2000, Atal Bihari Vajpayee had issued a postage stamp in honour of Maharaja Bijli Pasi. On this auspicious occasion, the Prime Minister paid his tribute to Mahamana Malaviya, Atal Ji, and Maharaja Bijli Pasi.
Prime Minister Modi also said, Dr Shyama Prasad Mookerjee played a decisive role in maintaining India’s integrity. He completely rejected the system of two constitutions, two flags, and two heads of state. After independence, the integrity of India in Jammu and Kashmir was a major challenge.
Prime Minister Modi said that the BJP is proud that its government got the opportunity to dismantle the wall of Article 370, and today the Constitution of India is fully applicable in Jammu and Kashmir. As the first Industries Minister of independent India, Dr Mookerjee laid the foundation of a self-reliant India by formulating the industrial policy.
According to Prime Minister Modi, Pandit Deendayal Upadhyaya envisioned Antyodaya (upliftment of the last person). He believed that the measure of India’s progress should be determined by the smile on the face of the person standing in the last row. He gave the philosophy of Integral Humanism, which speaks of the development of the body, mind, intellect, and soul. The Prime Minister said that his government has implemented this philosophy on the ground. Today, efforts are being made to connect every eligible person with government schemes. This is good governance, and this is true social justice.
Prime Minister Modi said, in the past decade, crores of Indians have overcome poverty. Before 2014, only about 25 crore people were covered under social security schemes. Today, this number has increased to approximately 95 crore. Millions of poor families have received security through the Pradhan Mantri Jeevan Jyoti Bima Yojana and the Pradhan Mantri Suraksha Bima Yojana. Thousands of crores of rupees have reached needy families directly through these schemes. Earlier, bank accounts and insurance were only available to a select few; our government took the initiative to provide insurance coverage to every last person. For this, the Pradhan Mantri Jeevan Jyoti Bima Yojana was created. This ensured medical coverage of up to ₹2 lakh at a nominal premium. Today, more than 25 crore poor people are connected to this scheme. Similarly, the Pradhan Mantri Suraksha Bima Yojana is running for accident insurance. Approximately 55 crore poor people are also covered under this scheme. These people could not even think about insurance before. Through these schemes, claims worth approximately ₹25,000 crore have reached ordinary poor families. This money proved useful to poor families during times of crisis.

According to Prime Minister Modi, Atal Bihari Vajpayee truly implemented good governance on the ground. The foundation of digital identity, the telecom revolution, roads, and connectivity was laid during his government. He said that today India is becoming a global hub for mobile and internet, and Uttar Pradesh is playing a leading role in this. He quoted, Atal Ji truly implemented good governance on the ground. Today, there is so much discussion about digital identity; the foundation for this was laid by Atal Ji’s government. The credit for the telecom revolution in India also goes to Atal Ji. It was due to his government’s policies that phones and the internet became easily accessible to every household. Today, India is the country with the highest number of mobile and internet consumers in the world. Wherever Atal Ji is today, he will be happy to know that in the last 11 years, India has become the world’s second-largest manufacturer of mobile phones. Uttar Pradesh is now India’s number one mobile manufacturing state.
According to Prime Minister Modi, Uttar Pradesh, the state from which Atal Ji was a Member of Parliament, is today India’s number one mobile manufacturing state. Atal Ji’s vision for connectivity provided the initial strength to 21st-century India. The campaign to connect every village with roads was started during Atal Ji’s government. The construction of the Golden Quadrilateral, a network of highways, also began at that time. Since 2000, 800,000 kilometres of roads have been built in villages under the ‘Pradhan Mantri Gram Sadak Yojana’. Of these, approximately 400,000 kilometres of rural roads have been built in the last 11 years. Today, expressways are being built in our country at an unprecedented pace. Our Uttar Pradesh is also establishing its identity as an expressway state. It was Atal Ji who initiated the metro in Delhi. Today, the metro network in more than 20 cities across the country is making life easier for millions of people. The legacy of good governance created by the BJP-led NDA government is being given a new dimension and expansion by the BJP’s central and state governments today.
Prime Minister Modi said, for decades after independence, there was a tendency to limit history and achievements to the name of a single family. The BJP has changed this mindset. Today, the country is honouring every great man who served Mother India. The Prime Minister said that this is inclusive nationalism and this is the strong foundation of a developed India. Inspired by Atal Ji, Dr Mukherjee, and Pandit Deendayal Upadhyaya, Uttar Pradesh and the country are continuously moving forward.
He also added that dynastic politics has a distinct characteristic. It is full of insecurity. It becomes a compulsion to diminish the achievements of others for the sake of one’s own generations, so that their family’s stature appears greater and their political enterprise continues. This mindset gave rise to the practice of political untouchability in India. Many Prime Ministers served in independent India, but many former Prime Ministers were ignored in the museum in the capital Delhi. This situation was also changed by the BJP and the NDA. Today, when you visit Delhi, the magnificent Prime Minister’s Museum welcomes you. No matter how short a Prime Minister’s tenure, everyone has been given due respect and recognition. The Congress and its allies politically ostracized the BJP. But the BJP’s values teach us to respect everyone. In the last 11 years, Narasimha Rao and Pranab Mukherjee were awarded the Bharat Ratna.
He said, it is our government that has honoured many leaders like Mulayam Singh Yadav and Tarun Gogoi with national awards. One cannot expect this from the Congress or the Samajwadi Party. During their rule, BJP leaders only received insults.
