Relief Organisation holds pledge ceremony on voting

JAMMU, SEPTEMBER 14: Relief Organisation, J&K today organized a pledge ceremony  at Head Office here wherein all employees of the Organization pledged to cast their vote in favour of  deserving candidates without the influence of religion, caste, region, language or   any inducement and to strengthen the spirit of democracy by ensuring fair and free voting .

The oath was administered by Relief and Rehabilitation  Commissioner (M) , J&K, Dr Arvind Karwani.

Pertinent to mention that, the Relief Organization is organising series of SVEEP activities in migrant camps and non-camp areas to increase voter awareness and literacy. This inter-alia includes symposiums on theme of democracy, rallies, nukkad nataks, plantation drives and signature campaigns.

The migrants are voting at special polling stations established for them at Jammu, Udhampur and New-Delhi on 18th September ( South Kashmir), 25th September ( Central Kashmir ) and 1st October ( North Kashmir ) , as per the schedule of voting in Assembly constituencies of Kashmir Valley. Besides, the migrants have also the option of casting vote through postal ballot.
