Sopore May : 02 Sopore Police today organized Thana Diwas at Dak Bungalow Sopore as part of the Government’s public outreach initiative. The event was chaired by SSP Sopore Shri Iftkhar Talib-JKPS along with other senior officers.
Prominent stakeholders including traders civil society members, youth representatives, and school heads from Sopore subdivision actively participated in the program. Participants raised several issues which were patiently heard by the officers. Genuine police-related grievances were assured swift resolution, while matters concerning civil administration will be taken up with the relevant authorities.
The SSP stressed the importance of a strong police-public partnership, especially calling upon the youth to walk the path of progress. He assured the public that while drug peddlers will face uncompromising action, those struggling with addiction will be shown compassion and guided toward recovery.
The event concluded with a call for unity and shared responsibility. SSP Sopore urged all sections of society to remain vigilant cooperate with law enforcement and help preserve the peace and prosperity of Sopore.
The participants appreciated the efforts of Sopore Police and welcomed the initiative, expressing their desire for more such public meetings in the future.
