Speaking about the unusual heat, Kashmir Weather said, “Today’s temperature milestones highlight an intense heat phase gripping the region. These are among the highest temperatures recorded in the past several decades for June. This trend not only reflects shifting weather patterns but also raises concerns about the possible impact on health, agriculture, and water resources if such extreme temperatures persist.”
Authorities have advised people, especially the elderly and children, to avoid outdoor activities during peak afternoon hours and to remain hydrated as the Valley continues to reel under the persistent heatwave.
